About the production process of spunlace nonwovens

1. Pre-wet

 

The formed fiber web is sent to the hydroentanglement machine for reinforcement, first of all, it is pre-humidified. The purpose of pre-wetting is to compact the fluffy fiber web and remove the air in the fiber web, so that the fiber web can effectively absorb the energy of the water jet after entering the spunlace area, so as to enhance the effect of fiber entanglement.

 

2. Spunlace

 

The pre-wetted fiber web enters the spunlace area, and the water jet holes of the water jet plate of the spunlace head spray out multiple fine water jets, which shoot vertically at the fiber web. The water jet causes a part of the surface fibers in the fiber web to displace, including the vertical movement to the opposite side of the fiber web; when the water jet penetrates the fiber web, it will be scattered to the fiber web in different directions by the rebound effect of the screen curtain or drum The opposite side; under the double action of the direct impact of the water jet and the rebound of the water flow, the fibers in the fiber web are displaced, interspersed, entangled, and entangled, forming countless flexible entanglement points, thereby strengthening the fiber web. In addition, the reinforcement methods of spunlace mainly include three forms: flat mesh spunlace reinforcement, rotary drum spunlace reinforcement, and drum and flat mesh combined spunlace reinforcement.

 

3. Dehydration

 

The purpose of dehydration is to remove the stagnant water in the fiber web in time, so as not to affect the entanglement effect of the next spunlace. When the amount of water retained in the fiber web is large, it will cause the dispersion of water jet energy, which is not conducive to fiber entanglement. When the spunlace process is over, reducing the moisture in the fiber web to a minimum is also beneficial to reducing drying energy consumption.

 

4. Water treatment and circulation


Inorganic salts dissolved in water, whether they are anions or cations, have an impact on the spunlace process. Calcium and magnesium ions are easy to generate dirt in pipelines and equipment; iron, manganese, copper and other ions are easy to generate colored substances, so for the production of white sanitary materials, their content should be strictly controlled; when the content of chloride ions is high, it is easy to cause corrosion of equipment, etc. .
